Facts to learn Prior to Obtaining Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Print E-mail

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released on November 10th, 2009 and had among the most enjoyable introductions I can even remember! I did not go out on the midnight launching, but I journeyed out on kick off day and was there three hours before launch during the day time and there were witout a doubt 20+ men and women waiting around there. After a half hour to forty-five minutes, I finally gained my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and off I went to spend the remainder of my week ranking up as fast as I possibly could.

So just before I commence, I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to help keep this review from the view of someone who has not played any of the Call of Duty game titles or an individual who didnt appreciate the earlier games in the Call of Duty series. I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was agreed on getting Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was unveiled.

As the majority of you definitely grasp, I hardly ever obtain games that really don't provide some form of multi-player and often will only acquire games for its multi-player element, but I did really engage in the entire single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I ought to say that I did get pleasure from it even when playing through a second time. The story was sturdy, it was a little bewildering at times, but it tied in pretty nicely with where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and offered solutions to many unanswered concerns.

The only thing I definitely did not like concerning the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been relatively simple on the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say always, seeing that that's most definitely not true, there had been times where I got pretty aggravated as there were just so many enemies at once on every side and it got me exceedingly irritated, but other than that, the single player campaign was relaxing and also a refreshing new video game to play through.

So far as the controller layout goes, it is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it was ideal for that video game and is still absolutely flawless now. As far as Im concerned, the control structure choices in COD4 and MW2 are the best layouts that have ever been set together for any online game. There are actually a couple of other control layouts which you can choose from and you'll find that all of those control schemes are excellent as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get used to, but the moment you are accustomed to the new controller layout, you are godly!

Now comes the section which you all have been waiting for! My thoughts on the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in above 360 hours of online performance, I feel I can give a fairly quality overview of what it is all about. For the most part, everything is much better balanced. The maps are laid out tactfully, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work fantastic. This being said, there are always negatives to go along with the positives. Now, dont get me wrong here, Im not intending to go over every little thing that is ideal in this online game, because it would take too long. Instead, I am going to try and go over some of the major faults contained in the online aspect of this online game, because of the fact that I believe this would be much more beneficial to potential buyers and/or prior owners.

Here we go, lets get started now relating to the bad elements. So far as Im concerned, 1 man army is really the only questionable perk. On its own, there is nothing wrong with it, and it can be quite valuable depending on your circumstance, but put into use while in the hands, it can be put into use in an highly troublesome way that makes anyone prefer to just break their controller until the pieces quit soaring.

Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and sincere, getting compensated for dying, in my opinion, is just absurd. There ought to be no need for this if the spawn process was clearly thought through, which, sadly, it most undeniably isn't, but if you are implementing death streaks for anything but to stop the weak spawn platform, then you've got no excuse, you're a noob.

On that note, I might as well touch at the spawn scheme being as I already opened that can of worms. With out getting into a massive rant, essentially the spawn procedure performs competently in most circumstances, but on the occasion, it operates just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt assist you in any way, it generates you extreme aggravation, and it makes you wish to fling your console out the window of a 3 story or higher structure. Im quite certain that this is pretty much all I have to say about that, considering the fact that if you have played a decent quantity of online games and game varieties, you know precisely what Im babbling about.

Just one other issue that works just like that, is the matchmaking procedure. The online game automatically determines what room its going to set you in. This means, you could be put inside a room which has 6 seconds left in your online game and it truly is physically unreal for you to win. This seriously maddens me to no end. Theres no easier way to spoil my excitement to just relax and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I fire it up and connect to a online game on a team which is just getting raped. It is not fun at all, in fact, most of the time if this happens I will simply just switch the Playstation 3 off right then and there and do some thing else.

As far as weapons go, they are pretty considerably balanced now. In the start there was an enormous argument about the model 1887s, but thanks to every one of the whiners, they got nerfed and are now about just as effective as tossing a rock at somebody. So far as the rest of the guns go, they are all very powerful and if you dont react speedily, you'll die free of even knowing what transpired.

I think this concludes the mini rant regarding the multiplayer factor of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you want to be aware of any more dealing with it, just invest in it, since it is most unquestionably deserving of the money.
